Which caged bird is the easiest to breed

Buttons are just easier for that sort of thing and require less space and hight. It could also be coturnix or some other breed if you have the space for it.

I raise finches and doves, zebra and society are both easy breeders if you want finches. For doves the ringnecks are the easiest to raise but diamond doves are not very hard either. And they can take temperatures colder than 65 degrees. They can take temps to about 50 degrees, lower for short periods of time. Like the other night my heater went out and it got down to 28 degrees and they are fine along with my other cage birds. Also i run my button quail with my finches.

Good Luck!

I have bred Gouldian Finches, Parakeets and Parrotlets with no problem. I also work at local bird fairs and many of the breeders have cockatiels for sale. They must be easy to breed since they are always the most plentiful at the fairs. Give them a nest box with bedding and they will eventually breed. I also feed all my birds a pelleted diet (Zupreem) with fresh fruits and veggies to supplement. Give any birds you plan to breed the best feed that you can afford. This will keep them healthy, happy and productive!
