ANSWER: the egg
THEORETICALLY, 2 birds of compatible genetics mated. They produced a "half-breed" foul or two or three or more.......
These "half-breed" offspring reproduced amongst themselves producing the chicken (Wild Jungle Fowl, if you wish).
So, in my thinkin', (purely theoretical, of course).the egg came first.
The other possibility is that God (Nature, if you will) just got "impatient" and put a few chickens down in front of the ARK for Noah to "pick and choose" amongst.
I REALLY don't know....BUT I'll BET on the egg.
(It WAS very HUMID during the FLOOD....conditions good for a "hatch")
