Which camera would you get to catch predators?

I returned the trail cam and got another more expensive one. It may not be any good either...we shall see. I got the Primos Blackout cam. I tested it and it works good, but the real test will be at night. I'm going to set it to take video tonight instead of photos. I really want an ip camera, but everything I read says that they are really complicated to set up if you aren't familiar with messing with router settings. I'm not familiar with that. :/

I also have 2 traps set (I took the opossum that I caught last night to the usual location where I drop off the critters I catch) and I also have a friend that offered to loan me another trap.

We have 2. I caught another opossum last night within 1 1/2 hours of setting the trap. I have never seen opossums around my house until the past few weeks. I just wish I knew if they were the ones killing my chickens or if it's something else. I NEED to know what is killing them.
Sounds like you already do.
Just keep a trap or two set ALL the time
Buy bigger traps instead of cameras, and you'll stand a bigger chance of stopping the problem

Caught another opossum and a skunk since I last posted in this thread. DH raised the coop yesterday and I set 2 traps again. For the first time in several days, we caught NOTHING! Hopefully that's a good sign. :)

It depends on what you want to spend.. We have a Night Owl System DVR , with 8 video cameras from Walmart.com for $470. the cameras have night vision and they work great... The system has multiple set-ups you can do....ours will send us a text message when it goes into motion or record mode and then we can sign-on with our I-pad and watch any camera view from any place in the world we are... it records and plays back everything that happens on our property..... we have used video evidence on every intrusion against our poultry and livestock...if anyone does anything stupid or any neighbor's dog messes with our animals or birds...they are history.. walmart also have the same system with 4 cameras for about $275....the best money we ever spent...
