Hi! Do me a favor and let me know what the chick on the right ends up being.....boy or girl.....I'm thinking seriously that it's a boy and just curious if my assumptions are correct.
There is a possibility that you may never know for sure unless you hatched them in seperate incubators and marked them upon hatch after you watched them hatch from the eggs. Now......chances are that the mix chick will show some variations and differences as it matures that may help you distinguish it from the pure BCM and this may also depend on what the mix part of the bird is too, but the truth most likely will show you when you get an egg from one of them, if one of them is a pullet, the mixed bird if it is a pullet will probably more than likely lay a lighter egg than that of a Marans if the pure Marans chick ends up being a pullet. Repost photos of both chicks as they mature and feather out, it will be interesting watching them grow and seeing the differences if any.
