Hi! Welcome to BYC! My choice for best chicken breed is Buff Orpington! I just love them. Australorps are an extremely docile breed, and I'm just starting into Lavender Orps and the pullets are sweet indeed.
I would love to see your coop build! We are getting ready to build a new coop in March and I'm scouring the site for everyone's great ideas!
