Which medicine are you not supposed to give to geese while they are molting?

I am about to start a 5 day session of safeguard for my 2 geese to treat for giardia (not confirmed but my dog has it and they yard together, so...)
I remember reading something about a medicine (was it safeguard/fenbendazole??) that you should not give them during a molt, because it makes feathers grow in crooked. I think they are about to molt and I dont know if I should wait until after the molt or try to get it done now.

I found out it is fenbendazole (safeguard / panacur) says dont give to birds during molt IDK if any other wormers have the same warning?

Fenbendazole can cause stress bars and weird feathers if given during a molt.
I'm not sure about other wormers but others may not be as effective against giardia anyway, if at all. Albendazole I think has some effect against giardia but it hasn’t been studied much, however it could cause molt problems also, though I’m not sure.
Ivermectin won’t do anything To Giardia.

Metronidazole and SMZTMP are very effective against giardia but they are antibiotics.

Garlic, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, and oregano have some negative effects against giardia but they won’t clear the infection, but they can help.

All wormers in that class can cause the problem.

"3/ fenbendazole- a useful drug, has the disadvantage that it and other drugs in the same group cannot be used during moulting otherwise a ‘fret mark’ will form in the feathers that were growing at the time of treatment."

so interesting, I wonder if anyone’s ever posted a picture of a goose or duck or a chicken with the weird feathers after using some thing like that during a molt I’m just curious to see what it looks like but thank you so much my birds have oregano and thyme and other herbs available all the time because they’re growing in pots in their pens and occasionally I add garlic and ginger with apple cider vinegar to their water so maybe that’s why they’ve done so well for so long even if they have the Giardia ,, which is highly likely, because they share the yard with my dog, who was diagnosed with it ,, only one of my geese ( Charlie) has had white watery poop for a long time, though like ever since he was little, so that’s almost 3 years, I took him to the vet once, about two and a half years ago, but the vet said he didn’t find anything in his poop so that’s weird
