Which Mower?

I am buying a new riding mower. Could you please give me input on what you like, what you don't like, what brand is your favorite, where to buy it, used or new, etc. your input would be much appreciated! And my budget is under $1199

I have to vote for Husqvarna. I've had my rider for 15 years and it's still working very well. I have to admit I'm about ready for a new one, but my property is on a grade, and it's really not an easy yard to mow, but that mower gets it done! They're very rugged, and reasonably priced. They should be on sale now, with winter on the way......

Great! What kind of maitnence have you done on it? How often did you change spark plugs and oil? Any major repairs?

I bought a used Toro Groundsmaster. The price of a new one is a little high... But I wouldn't trade that tractor for a thing. Best mower I've ever owned.

I have been told that Troy bilts are one of the worse and that Husqvarna is one of the best. (Considering price range) is this true?
