Which natural disaster scares you more, and why?
I myself am scared silly of Earthquakes. Why, Because you have no warning, can't just hide or move inland, and the thought of the Earth openin' up and swallowing me whole, scares the Bejesus out of me!

My DD's bedroom. Oh. Wait - you said NATURAL disaster.

A major earthquake would be bad. We don't get too many natural disasters here in Central Virginia - the occasional hurricane that swings inland, but you know they're coming. Personally, the thought of living anywhere that tornadoes are a frequent occurrence scares me.

Here, we live very close to the New Madrid Fault line.... They say when this puppy finally goes, it'll make The Quakes in Cali, look like nothing!

I'm sooo scared! Especially with all the quakes worldwide this year!

Anything that causes mass hysteria. Shortage of oil, food, and as far as natural, I am terrified of a tornado. We have them fairly often here. Yes, sometimes there is ample warning, but sometimes not. The year mom was pregnant with me, there was a horrific one that demolished our area. I think her nerves from that permantly had some effect on me.

Having grown up n California, earthquakes dont bother me at all, I that it would be flash floods for me. no time to get everyone out:hu

That is the one that scares me too. I'm in Iowa so we will feel it and I think it will happen soon. It has not moved in 199 years and I think that as all these big earthquakes occur around the world it will have a ripple affect on other fault lines.

My friend and I are not allowed to have serious discussions about earthquakes anymore because each time we do a major quake happens somewhere.
