Which of my chickens do you think laid this egg?

The options are:
20 week old New Hampshire;
20 week old Light Brahma; or
18 week old partridge Cochin

The New Hampshire is our best guess because she has the brightest red wattles and comb, which look a bit paler today (when we found the egg) compared to yesterday.

I'm a newbie, so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place!!

Congrats on the first egg!
I'm not an expert on what kind of hen lays what color egg, but I've heard that the comb and wattle redness is an indicator too, so If I had to take a guess, I'd say the New Hampshire too. I figured out which hen lays which egg just by running out there a lot (I was veryyy excited when I first got my hens and they were about to lay) so I'd catch them in the act, then wait for them to finish, and then I knew which one laid which egg. Quickly enough, I knew all the hens egg colors, sizes, shapes, textures. So, maybe if you can, head out every once in a while and see if you can catch anyone in the act. This is of course the long method (there has to be an easier one, right? cameras maybe?) and hopefully someone else knows a more efficient way to know.

I would say either the NH or LB based on coloring but could not say for sure. It has a pretty cool mottled color to it which is cool looking. I love whenever our girls have more interesting looking eggs. One day we had one of our brown layers lay a white egg with tiny brown speckles which was way different....

Thanks Leia, Chicken Mamm,and Scooter&Suzie! I thought it was a beautiful little egg and did a pretty good job of blowing it out this morning so we can save it for posterity. Also, it was delicious!

As far as keeping an eye on them, that seems like the best bet! I'm wishing I could take the day off work to be there if a second egg is laid today, but hopefully I can catch someone in the act this weekend!
