I thought about speckled sussexes but I already have 12 Sablepoots so I think its enough millie fleur for one garden!

I love all my chickens, but I am quite partial to my true Ameraucanas and my Orpingtons. I have a blue copper marans pullet that is also quite lovely (she always sits with me when I visit) and a Welsummer. My Welsummer is a great girl and takes great care of my banty Cochins, but she’s a bit more standoffish personality wise. Although she’s fine when you pick her up But I just love the personality of my Ameraucanas. They are friendly, funny, calm, get along well with other chickens, tolerate my children, chat with me and always come and sit on me when I visit. Also when the big rooster scares them (he’s older by three months) they come running to me and honk like geese while hiding in my lap. It’s funny haha—he’s the most easy going rooster but they’re still young

My mauve Orpington is also just so pretty and she’s very friendly and tolerant

I'm in absolutely love with Brahmas. Mine lay pretty well. I had some that took only a day of pause every 30 or 40 days of uninterrupted laying (at that time I only had 3 laying hens and they all layed different shades of brown). One of the cons is that they take more time than laying breeds to start laying.
