Which one of your hens makes the most noise?!

Jezebel, one of my light brahmas. She has an annoying "voice" and she uses it non-stop. I've been outside at 5 in the morning and I can hear her all the way up to the house, about 250 ft. from the house. Late at night, they all go to roost and Jezebel is still talking. She grumbles in her sleep.
Funny thing is, she was originally named after my DH's ex. He insisted I change it because he hates hearing the name.

Good stuff. Thank you for all the hilarious stories of chickens making it known that they are about to or have just laid an egg. As a follow up to my own story, my EE ended up in the same nesting box as my RIR, at the same time. What a sight to see, two hens in the same nesting box with an empty nesting box mere inches away. I was just happy to be able to hear the other birds singing.

My standard phoenixes are fairly loud--they seem to be constantly going "Bwoooork, bwoooooork, bwoooooooork?" about things, and they cackle about arbitrary things often.

She's not my loudest, but my splash OEGB hen Whisper is an incessant talker. She's always saying "Dreet, dreet, dreet" to herself or whoever will listen. It's really cute!

I haven't heard a thing out of my OEG crosses, BSL or RSL. BUT my RIR's SHEESH!!! They would carry on LOUDLY for a good half hour after they laid an egg.

My escape artist RIR, Houdini, would gloat at the top of her lungs everytime she managed to get out of the 6ft tall run!

My babies are too young to make me cringe... but the guinea's.....OMG!!!!

From the time I get up in the morning til the time I have to take my middle of the nite stroll to the fridge all I hear is "Come Back...Come Back...Come back..."

There is nothing like a guinea. My husband referred to them as the "Air Raid Sirens" We lived a block from the firehouse and that siren was nothing compared to those things!! I had to get rid of mine when I was on chemo. I couldn't deal with the noise.

My EE, sometimes she is so loud that I have to tell her to hush. I worry that the neighbors might complain and I don't want to deal with some one trying to get me to get rid of my Chickens. I love the look of the green eggs but once my new chicks are big an dout in the yard, if Maude (EE) is to loud I may rehome her.

My BR is by far the loudest, she always sounds like she's chewing me out for something. Followed by my light brahma, who will raise hell if anyone is in her nestbox.
