Which places ship small numbers??

I was wondering which places ship small number of day old chicks? I know of My Pet Chicken.... But are there any others??

Cackle and Purely Poulty say they ship as few as 15. Ideal has a $25 minimum order but no minimum limit. However, they may add packing peanuts so you may wind up with more. I don't know of any others.

You can possibly use Craigslist to get rid of extras or advertise on here and try to find somebody in your area to split an order.

I went thru ideal and was very pleased with the service both before and after shipment arrived.I gave my packing peanuts away on freecycle only took one day and they were all gone.

MyPetChicken does as few as three and Meyer does small orders.

I ordered with Meyer last year and they were great. I called about the small order program and it would cost close the same after shipping and handling for 3 chicks as it would for 25. So I order 25 pullets and sold the rest. Girls are always easy to get rid of. Something to think about.

There is a place called Healthy Chicks and More - The Small Poultry Order Specialists. I don't have any experience ordering from them, though. They're in Ohio.
