I have two EE cockerels that I’m debating over keeping. If I do end up keeping one for a future project, which one would I use?
They are both very sweet, but slightly camera shy so I got the best pics I could. :idunno

This is the best pictures I could get of #2. He kept running back and forth around the property ^

It depends on what kind of chicks you want. If you want chicks with a possible crest, I would keep #2. If you want chicks that might have that light gray color, then keep #1.

I’m not necessarily looking for what chick qualities I would get, more of which one looks more manly or such, if you know what I mean.

Do they crow already? And which do the pullets/hens prefer? Which is watching the pullets/hens settling disputes and maybe even starts tidbitting the pullets/hens?
And last not least which do you like better?
The aren’t crowing yet, and haven’t started taking interest in any hens/pullets. I only have those two and a third pullet the same age together since they were being picked on by the older ones, and weren’t eating. I love them both and can not wait to see what they look like as adults, but like every chicken person, can’t keep too many boys.
