There seem to be three options for bantams:

APA Standard of Perfection
ABA Bantam Standard
ABA Bantam Mini Standard

It's hard finding sample pages from the books. Near as I can tell, the SOP has drawings of what birds should look like. The Bantam Standard books have photos of birds they consider ideal. Are they both similar in text and descriptions of birds? The ABA mini-standard: I am assuming this is the same content as the full-size ABA book, but pocket sized for convenience? To add another wrench, the ABA has listed in the store a 2011 version and a 2014 "Centennial" version with their respective mini-versions. The 2011 mini is full color while the 2014 mini is black and white.

I'm leaning towards the 2011 Mini ABA book for size, color photographs, and portability, but wanted to get input. Thanks.

Do you focus primarily on bantams? If so, either is fine. If you wish to breed Large fowl and/or water fowl, you'll need the APA book. It's pretty much that straight forward.
Yep! Ok, thanks. Going to place an order.
