Which temperature controller do you use for your homemade incubator?
Where to buy it?

I have to buy a new one and want a PID temperature controller, but don't want to spent a lot of money ...

Single Pole (also known as the "bottom") Water heater thermo works well. You can also use a dimmer switch since you can then regulate the amount of light that is used, creating a more constant temperature.

I use Incubator Warehouse's electronic thermostat with a probe. I have two of them which tells you how much I like them. When your spending big bucks on hatching eggs you want something thats accurate and reliable.

We used the dimmer switch and after we found the "sweet" spot on it we marked it and it was pretty easy to regulate as long as the ambient air temp was pretty steady.

Well said ;I also have A Incubator Warehouse thermostat with Probe.Works great only complaint I see is the wire is really cheap low grade Cu.But it works great. I have a Ranco 111000 thermostat with 8' probe thats a super unit (less than 50.00 /w ship )on EBay.My luck with WHT its kind of shaveing with a AXE...cva34

why do you need something to block the light if you are using a light for your heat source
does it damage the embriose or somthing:D
