I love my silkies and sizzles and recently got ducks and I love them too. I also have quail, guinea, bbs orphingtons and oegb's. My orph roo looks forward to my visits. We just talk up a storm but let anybody else go near his pen and he lets them know they aren't welcome. He loves me the big ox.

My silkies can be out in their run and when I go in to feed or collect eggs several of them come in to get petted. One of the roos will roll on the floor and rub up against my feet like a cat and wait for me to pick him up. He's such a ham.

Man, I haven't had the experience yet of raising these awesome birds. I really want chickens, and geese, and ducks, and quail, and turkeys, and...haha. But, among the birds I've worked with, my favorites have been kookaburras (Love!!! Especially hand raised ones), Southern ground hornbills, Pantagonian conures (I'm not a big psittacine fan, but these guys are dorky, so I love them), and a tame osprey. Oh, and tinamou are funny things. There were some birds that were complete butts to work with, but I pretty much find birds to be awesome and amusing little things all around. XD ...Pigeons are my absolute favorite though. Feral or glitzed out breeds, wild or domesticated, I just really love everything about them. They are some of the most interesting birds evolutionary wise too to me. They make awesome pets.

What a cute story. I've only had my turkeys for about a week and I spend a good bit of time with them. They are totally different than I thought they would be-much friendlier than I expected.

I love putting my hands in the brooder and having them all come trying to get attention. Not like chickens that try to get as far away as possible to start with. Don't get me wrong I love our chickens too. Anyone driving past our farm will see various chickens following my son or I around begging for attention or food. We handle them ALOT to get them that way. We have a Buff Minorca that comes running and than stands waiting for you to put your arms down so she can climb on. All you have to say is "Come on Sandy." Minorca's are supposed to be flighty mine is not. Pearlie and Shirlie (leghorns) like to sit on the fench and jump on my shoulders to when I walk by. They are still young (3 months) so they are fenced in, but half the fence is only 2 feet high. They get onto the 4 foot high sections. My son is perpetually always carring around one of his favorites (usually Rosie Red with the floppsy head). The favs will live out their lives without fear from the soup pot. Someday I plan on keeping some turkeys as breeders, but right now we don't have enough winter coops to have one for the turkeys. I will have to buy Meal worms by the bulk then and grow alfalfa in the green house. My husband will have a fit! That's OK my babies LOVE ME!

I have to say chickens. I've had some parakeets and even a parrot before, but I like chickens because they are outside. (I don't like having the bird dander, feathers and poo in the house).

I just recently got two turkey poults, and so far I just love them......So things could change......But I just think chickens have such wonderful personalities......Mine are really tame and I haved two that are my absolutely favorites......Really wonderful hens that will never be anything but pets........

I love almost anything oramental. The ornamental ducks are my favorites. They are small, make cool noises, colorful and many different types. I only have a pair of mandarins and ringed teal now but that is gonna change soon. I also love pheasants, and may get some swinhoes in the near future. I love my india blue peafowl. Vultrine guineas are cool even though I don't have em. All junglefowl are amazing. I like francolins. And that's a short list lol.
