Which Wyandotte would you prefer?

I'm awaiting the arrival of a hatchery order from Welp. They were due to ship today from New Mexico, and hopefully will be here Friday morning.

I've ordered several breeds/colors just because I like the appearance of a mixed flock. Wyandottes are my favorites and 4 colors are included in the order I'm waiting for; Silver Laced, Gold Laced, Buff and Blue. Also included are Ameraucanas (actually I hope they are EEs), Speckled Sussex, Welsummer, Blue Andalusian, Gold & Silver Lakenvelders & Barred Rocks.

I'm thinking a bunch much like those those in the spring...along with Marans, Barnvelders, Penedesencas, for the dark eggs and some Sicilian Buttercups and campines because I like the color...and maybe a Dominique and an Orpington. I'm going with Meyer. This year they offered Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. Probably one of those too

I really like the color pattern of the Gold Lakenvelders...wondering if they are actually what are called Vorwerks elsewhere.

Not all "hatchery" birds are mutts. Most are simply not bred for show, but for production. They can generally (means, not all) be considered better than "show" birds when it comes to producing large numbers of eggs, and generally are inferior in regards to physical traits bred into most show stock. I sell my excess stock to the locals and they won't pay much for it. I can get a buck or two more than farm-supply store chicks, but that's about it. I also doubt that even one local would have known a show bird from a hatchery bird anyway. They wouldn't have paid anymore for the show bird, because not one of them has ever shown chickens. In general, 99% of them want egg producers and will take any bird they think is attractive.
