While holding my chicken I saw one small white bug walking near her eye and then go into the feather

I'm not sure if I have a problem or not. I only saw the one very small white bug. It looked like a lice or something. I checked the birds vent, body and head and saw no others. I had my wife look as well and she saw no others. I dont know what to do or look for?

Opinions? Advice?
 
Lice are very tiny and fast moving. Mites are slow. Some lice inhabit the area around the neck and head, some around the vent, and some under the wings. Lice will leave whitish clumps of eggs at the base of feathers. Permethrin spray or garden dust, and Sevin dust are 2 good treatments for either, and you also have to repeat the treatment for eggs that hatch every 7-10 days. The coop must be emptied, sprayed, and replaced with clean bedding. When you part the feathers they will usually crawl quickly away. Here are some links to read about lice and mites:
