Whine, Whine, Whine...why aren't my Araucanas laying?

I got my girls in July from a breeder. they were about three months old. So they should be seven months old. Shouldn't they be laying by now??? I have noticed no squatting. The comb area doesn't seem any redder? Will I have to wait for spring to see a little blue egg?

I am never going to let them live it down if the girls I have that hatched August 29 start laying before they do!

I got a an araucana with 7 black autralorps and she is significantly smaller than the other girls and her comb is still small and not red. I wonder if they are a slower developing breed? Does anyone know?

Mine were hatched in early May and are just starting to lay. I have had one laying for about a month, but two more have started in the past week. I have artificial lighting, so that may make a difference.
