Autumn laughed her clear, bell-like again, which ended up in a cough which racked her whole body and made some more blood drip from the wound on her chest.
"It still looks like you got a nasty bruise or cut there. Here, let me see." She pushed herself up onto her front paws. More blood trickled down at this movement, but she payed no heed.

Wolf’s waving tail stiffened as concern swept through his pelt. “You’re still hurt badly,” he objected in a small, shaky voice. “Stay down. Please. I’m just fine.”
Desperate to prove it and put her at safe ease, he hoisted his head up high and pranced in a circle. Normally, even he would’ve felt shame for such an inane performance, but now Wolf was just plain anxious. He forced a loopy smile. “See? Fine.”

Autumn sank back to the ground, amusement sparkling in her eyes. "Now you've made me even more worried!" She joked, flicking an ear.
"Hey, could you maybe fetch me something from the fresh-kill pile?" Her ears flattened in embarrassment. "I mean, I would do it myself if I could but--you know." She gave her wound a lick.

Lightning appeared and sniffed in the direction of Wolf and Autumn. Her eyes had a strange haze to them but the cataracts were gone. Her gaunt and frail form took a few steps forward. "The wound is so wet." She observed calmly. "What is being done to help her? She cant last long this way." Lightning spoke matter of factly, apparently oblivious to the fact stating such truths aloud could be distressing to Autumn

Autumns ears flattened even more when she heard this. Her orange eyes widened with worry, (Or where they green? IDK ), but she said in a dismissive tone, "I'm fine." Though she felt her weakened heart skip a beat.

Lightning looked at Wolf inquisitively, her cloudy eyes narrowed slightly. Then she grinned just a bit, "You fancy her, don't you?"

Wolf had moved to fulfill Autumn's request, but he took a pace back into the den at Lightning's appearance.
He still wasn't certain if Lightning was inexistent, and therefore some sort of incredibly realistic spirit-cat, or if they'd somehow mistaken her murder by his sister. She certainly looked horrid enough to have come back from teetering the fine lines of life and death.
"Her treatment is up to Heron," he stated, though his tone was far less certain than the words. "And he apparently sees her stable enough to go treat more wounded cats."

Lightning swished her now very ordinary looking tail with a hint of her former sass. "Oh I am quite pleased Heron is so optimistic of her recovery. But you have skirted the issue that interests me the most here." She slinked over to stand beside Autumn, seeming to just glide along with her tattered coat floating about her in some places. Her alarmingly pale nose and clouded eyes made her one large smear of white in the dim light of the den. "DO you love her? She lingered beside Autumn like a wraith, awaiting Wolf's response

Autumn shrunk back as Lightning came near to her. She trembled a bit in her pelt as she lay there, a combination of her dislike of Lightning, her weak body, a strong hurricane wind that was picking up, and her curiosity to hear what Wolf would say.
