Petal purred and turned back to Meadow, "Can I try wrapping her leg, while you work on Ice?" Petal grabbed some cobweb and carried it to Heron. She turned to the herb store and sniffed, there's the horsetail. She grabbed it and carried it to Heron, "Is this one horsetail?"
"Sure. But be gentle," Heron laughed. "You wouldn't want to hurt your sister now, would you! And yes, that's Horsetail."

"Yes you did. Nice work," Heron purred.
"Now I have to go help Ice. You can stay in with Meadow." Heron walked out of the den. His mother didn't seem to limp badly, but he could sense that she was in pain.
"The water with clean up the wounds," Heron reassured Ice.
"Uhuh, now lets go," Ice went towards wherever the waterfall was.

Heron guided her over to an outcropping of rock that jutted out halfway into the waterfall. "Stand here. You can lie on top of the rocks afterwards."

"Sure. But be gentle," Heron laughed. "You wouldn't want to hurt your sister now, would you! And yes, that's Horsetail."
"I won't I promise." She took the cobweb and licked Meadow's paw. She carefully took the cobweb and started at the back just behind where she sprained it. She wrapped it over once. She carefully shaped a strong stick and placed on the paw to hold it still. She carefully wrapped the cobweb, once more, on top of the stick and then let Meadow's paw down to see her work.

Meadow glanced lovingly at her sister. "Wow! You have quite the skills there! Great job. Feels better too, honest." Meadow winced as she moved her paw.
"So I can't walk on it, can I. For how long?"

"Well, it depends I think. Heron will know, but I think maybe a 1/4 moon to 1/2 a moon. If you keep to it strictly, if you walk on it though it'll be longer. Oh, and I only know how to do that because I watched Heron wrap Embers leg." Petal purred to her sister, pleased.

"You learned well. You'll make a great Healer someday." Meadow purred and wrapped her tail around the kit.

Petal purred and mewed, "No hunting for you, but the piles low. How long were you out? Did you find anything?" Worry clouded her gaze as she stared at it, that was hardly enough for the queens.
"I was out half the day. All I found was squirrel and 2 mice. Only caught the squirrel and one mouse, though." Meadow sighed. "I'm scared. There are so many mouths to feed, not many hunters, and even less prey." Meadow stared out of the den, out beyond the tall pine trees, down into the large city below.
"I wonder how the Twolegs survive, with so little prey."
