Suddenly a dark black cat jumped out next to Embers and told the abusers to leave. After gone he turned to her, his eyes full of grief. She looked at him, "I-I thought you didn't love me anymore?"
Bat shook his head, "Of course not, I did what I did to protect you. But your Tribe is in trouble we have to go."
Her eyes filled with love and she touched his nose, "Let's go, I still love you!"
"I do to, my dear." He led her out.
"Ugh," Wind muttered, tail twitching. "We have to go!" His black-rimmed eyes turned back the way they came. "They might come back! Or something! The camp is under attack!"

Bat looked over at the source of the voice. "Embers, are these your friends?"
Embers nodded, "Wind, why are you here? The camp is under attack! We have to go."

Meadow froze and shuddered, then dipped her head.
"I-I'm so sorry I forgot about you before," she muttered. "I shouldn't have left you alone. It's my fault you were captured."

“That’s not your fault. I gave myself up. I-I had to, to save the Tribe but that turned out just great.” She rolled her eyes and gave her a warm glance. Bat flicked his ears, “We’d better get moving.”
