Since early this morning I watched this one chick pip and do nothing.

This evening as went up to check on my chicks and look in at the temps on the bators The pips had not progressed very far.

I leaned over the bator and started whistling. The chicks started peeping and zipping.

    I kept whistling.

    Never stopped whistling.

4 min 38 seconds later a new black orpington birthed itself into this world at 7:32 pm.

Absolutely beautiful! I'll start whistling instead of lightly tapping the glass. [IMG] [IMG]

They always take my breath away and make me cry when they are born.

I happened to witness one of my Buff Laced Cochin chicks do that last night. It's amazing! It was like yours not out and then I started talking to it and it rushed right out of the shell [IMG]

Aw, how sweet! They do respond to sound. I cheep like a chick and DH says he can't cheep, he has to whistle. I cant whistle, LOL.
