I imagine until I'm on a bigger place, I'll always just purchase chicks... but I don't know anywhere I can get blue orps. They are beautiful.

I was fairly certain last night the chick that hatched would be black. Goes to show you how the eye can be fooled. This morning that chick is a very dark blue andnot black at all. The second chick has hatched and is a more med. to light blue.

Yep! I whistle to them while they are pipping too! If they get quiet, I get louder! My DH gives me funny looks when I tell him I am coaxing them out lol!
