So I'm asking this more because I'm just curious. I only ended up with a pair of my Bresse instead of the trio I had planned on, and want an extra female in there just so the loving is spread slightly out.

I have 2 white Orpington pullets, and am thinking about keeping one to add to the pair. They seem almost identical to the bresse besides size and a bit more fluff. Same leg color, same feather color, same comb color. Egg color, I'm not sure about though.

Is there any reason I shouldn't do this? And no, getting another female bresse is impossible here unless I want to order even more day olds.

Depends on what your goals are. I believe there is somebody else here on BYC that crossed Bresse with lemon cuckoo Orpingtons. Can’t recall their username but should be easy enough to look up.😊

Honestly I don't have goals. Any I hatch will either be sold as layers or for meat cockerels.
