So I have a turkey Turkisha. I have fell in love with her. She has started laying eggs and is maintaing a healthy diet of free ranging and some layer. I was going to butcher her, but it got to late so I kept her. Can I continue to keep her as a pet? Anything will be helpful. Thank you!

You can keep her as a pet, just don't expect her to live a long life. Keep her active. It helps if she has another turkey for a companion.

I don't know anything about turkeys but why do you think you couldn't keep her as a pet?
Broad breasted turkeys were developed to be processed by the time they are 6 months old. They are sweethearts that people are constantly falling in love with and then have their hearts broken when the turkey either dies or has to be put down because of physical problems at a young age.

Ok thank you how long do you think she will live
Every one of them is an individual. The life span can depend on keeping the weight in check. Problems can develop during the first year for some while others have lived 3 to 6 years and one particular case was reported that the hen lived to be 9 years old.

No matter how long it lives, be prepared to be broken hearted at the end.
