I have a cuckoo maran and she is starting to grow white feathers anyone know what that means.....

I have a cuckoo maran and she is starting to grow white feathers anyone know what that means.....

How old is this bird and where are the feathers in question coming in? Cuckoo marans are a barred bird, so some white feathering is part of the normal markings - is this above/beyond the white that comes with barring? Perhaps a photo of your bird would be helpful.

sorry I cant do pics on my device she 1 year old and I know they have white specks but its almost taken over the regular feathers
