This is their one and only chicken... so far.
JP is actually a wonderful photographer. http://www.jaypmorgan.com/
He and his wife purchased this chicken, along with a dead one, for a client's photo shoot in China Town. He was supposed to butcher this hen afterwards. Of course, JP is much too tender hearted for that! So I talked him into keeping her, as no one seems to want her actually. And one of his daughters begged him to keep it. She's going off to BYU next year
so it will be solely JP and Julene's responsibility to take care for.
They went Friday and purchased regular layer feed, a water and feeder. So he has now invested $50 into an unwanted hen.
The plus side is the hen will pose really well
, so she'll be earning some of her keep, anyway.
