Wow! We only got a light dusting here. All of you hit by the heavy snows be careful out there taking care of your flocks. Don't want to see any postings about slips, falls and broken bones.

I did break my ankle two years ago this January. Never want that to happen again! Already have a plate and 5 screws in one bone and two screws in the other bone from that fall. >>>>>shudder<<<<<<


DH had already cleaned off the railings and steps numerous times so he could get to the coops. That is what accumulated later in the day. It's been snowing since yesterday morning. We probably have 6-7". Some drifts are a foot high.

Ice stalactites that reach over 4 feet an past the middle of the windows.

We ended up with about 8", from what I saw on top of the coops. Haven't seen that much snow since we left Utah.

Its been sense 1993 sense north Georgia saw anywhere near this much snow.

That was the year before DH retired from the AF and we came back to Ga. But we were in Utah, so we had more snow than Atlanta then.

Yea, we had snow up to our door(3 feet) that year an a snow drift to the top of the windows on the back of the house.(9 feet) I remember going out with a shovel an a spray bottle of water an building tunnels. I was 14.
