I have a silkie hen that has a hard white spot on one of her nostrils It’s been there awhile but has gotten bigger and kind of feels softer. Has Anyone else experienced this? Any advice is appreciated!

Hard to tell if it's a buildup of mucous, debris, feed, etc.

It does seem like Silkies or crested birds are more prone to having blocked nares.

If Vet Care is an option, that's always best. Otherwise, you can try clearing the nare yourself to see what it is. Start with applying 1 Drop Peroxide, let that soak in, then work on removing the material. For some, a plug may just pop right out, others have to work on it in stages.

Possible it's a cyst or abscess, but it looks more like debris to me.
