White dust??

I noticed today that most of my hens have an off white colored dust on the front of their necks just under their beaks downwards. What is it?

You should post this question in a different forum.

Either "emergencies" or " managing your flock" and add a pic of the issue. Likely someone can offer an explanation there.
 
Adding a photo might help us out. Are the chickens molting? Seem distressed?
 
A picture would certainly help. Could it be residue from something they eat?
