white laced wyanndotte

I'm a long time reader of Backyard Chickens, but this is my first time posting. I bought some chickens at a poultry & small stock auction that the Mennonites put on here in Kentucky. They were actually labeled "White laced Wyandottes"—I bought them because I had never seen that particular coloring before and they were beautiful. (I thought they would look fun in the chicken yard next to my silver-laced!) When I came home and started googling, I found very very little about folks raising them in the U.S. Basically, all I found was this thread! I thought you might advise me if you thought they actually were white-laced wyandottes. I have several breeds of chickens, but since I would not consider myself an expert, I hate to say that they are for sure. The rooster does have some black in his tail. I thought it would be fun to try to breed them out if they were indeed rare, but they may just be something that was mislabeled. I've also seen them called "buff-laced" as well, so I'm wondering if that is the more accurate name. All the reading has just confused me more, but I knew if anyone could help me it would be the good folks here. Thanks for your help in advance!

They're included in the ABA Standard as White Laced Reds, not in the APA Standard however. I've been showing since 1962 & have never seen one of these. The colour's available in Cornish Bantams so I suppose someone with patience could recreate them.

Those birds are splash Blue Laced Reds. True White Laced Reds have no duskiness to them at all.
They are very rare if not completely lost at this point. I have two very old hens but they have passed the point of laying now. A recreation could be attempted but would be extensive.

Awesome! Thanks for all your help. Splash. Blue. Red. White. Laced. I feel like there's a possibility that I could be going down a path here that there is no turning back from. Chickens are just so addictive. Is it to much to ask to have one of every breed? :)

An update on the WLR's. They have been resurrected somewhat now. The old hens were actually able to still lay and one is still kicking but the good news is that we have hatched out two very nice WLR pullets this year and will be pushing hard next year to hatch as many as possible to get the numbers up and be able to cull heavy.
I will try and post a couple pictures if I can.
