Hi all. So today I went out to collect eggs and put my chickens to bed and when I went into the coop area I noticed one of our WL hens, Charmin, was acting strange.
The first thing I noticed was she was sitting on the hay and not on the perch with her sister.
Then I noticed her looked off balance. I put her on the perch with her sister to see if she would stay and she kept rocking back and forth like she couldn’t steady herself.
She also kept her eyes closed until I picked her up and even then, they weren’t open all the way.
I took her outside the coop to look at her vent and I noticed it was very swollen looking and red.
She was pooping, or trying to poop I guess. This wasn’t normal looking poop though. It was very watery and some of it was clear like it was water.
I didnt have my phone so I couldn’t take pictures and it was getting dark and hard to see. We had just wormed them with Safeguard goat dewormer two day ago but I don’t know if this is related to the wormer.
Can someone help please???
I will update tomorrow when I go to let everyone out to forage in the morning.
