They look scruffier and have paler skin than they should.
They use up their pigment after they’ve been laying a while.

That may be it. Anyways, they aren’t too old. You’ll get eggs out of them.

Girls and possibly older than 6 months. Maybe they were early spring chicks (so going on a year), but easiest to say 6 months bc sounds good and that is laying age.

Ok thanks I did some research and found out they lay well for close to four years so hopefully we will get 2 - 3 years of them laying.

Yes, they are good layers. Yours do look healthy in the pics, so that’s good!
