My 11 month old aracuana cross hen has white patches on her comb and wattles. What could this be, and what can I do to treat it?
She doesn't appear to be in pain and is eating & drinking normally. None of the others have this. Its summer

If you are seeing mosquitoes, it is possible that it is the dry form of fowl pox. Fowl pox is a virus carried by mosquitoes and lasts about a month. The scabs usually turn brown or darker. Don’t handle the scabs. There is no treatment that is needed, but some use Betadine to paint on the scabs, keeping it away from the eyes.

Thank

you! I realised after doing some research this was probably the case. I also found that it was reccomended to vaccinate the unaffected birds, do you agree with this? They are also 11 months old.
