White? Poults from blue slate

I have a pair of turkeys.One is a blue slate and the others black. They were Bought as adults. I've hatched a few clutches (poults were black and blue (of varying shades). But this year 3 poults are white. The birds are pinned up, so I know no other turkey has gotten to her. Why are the poults white with black speckles? And is this a good thing?

And if I may ask, do slate poults ever have a brown head and darker body?

Slate poults never have a brown head. Tri-color Mottled Slates may have some brown on them.

Your hen is not a Black. If she is only black and white, she is a Mottled Black. She could have a number of hidden recessive colors.

Thanks for the response. I'm gonna post a pic of the brown headed poult (kinds sucks I bought him a 2 others just to add DNA lol) I'd love your opinion. And lastly does the tom look pure? I can post different pics tommarrow.

From the one posted image the tom does look like a Blue Slate (BB Dd).
