I hatched this white rooster with two different farms. The Jersey Giant farm has white Rhode Island, but can't confirm they sent it and the Buff Orpington farm told me the only white chicken they could have sent for extras were a cross between Breese and Leghorn. My question is what do you think it is? It has yellow legs, red ear lobes, and brick type body, but it doesn't look like it will get bigger. He has a higher pitch crow which is annoying without the velcro collar.

Rhode Island White. A Bresse mix would have slate legs.
It could have pulled on the leghorn side or blend together. However, without white ear lobs it can't be a leg horn. I leaning towards white rhode island. But it reminds me of a leg horn. But then again the tail my be the give away.

I want to cross this white chicken with a bresse chicken and use the chicks to mate back to their parents with blue legs to yellow and use a male and female from that pair, blue legs to blue legs and yellow legs to yellow legs.

So after doing a little reading on leg color genetics, you should either get white or slate legged chicks out of that cross, but no yellow.
Okay thanks, I conclude the white rooster is a white rhode island, based on its red ear lobes, yellow feet color, brick body type, and most importantly the tail feathers.
