White RIR!

Hi
The Rhode Island Red and the Rhode Island White are two separate breeds. They both share the name Rhode Island for it was the state they were developed. The White has never been as popular as the Red. The Reds are single and rose-comb. The Whites are rose-come.

Edited... Hm, well nevermind... Feathersite is where i read the above but i guess they were corrected as well

Hi
These two varieties share a type but are exhibited as separate breeds.

You had it right the first time. They are not varieties of the same breed they are 2 seperate breeds.

Just out of curiosity where is everyone getting Rhode Island Whites? They're pretty rare-I can't remember the last time I saw one.

Hi
In varieties of poultry fowl not varieties of Rhode Island Reds is what I was saying or trying to say. Should have said these breeds share a type.
