white specks on chickens

lice eggs? Called nits. Or are these proccessed birds? Either way this really isn't the right place to put this question I wouldn't think.
 
It would be in flock management or diseses or up there somewhere. I would have thought one of the mods would have moved you for an answer.
 
One thing it could be is quill dander. Probably has a real name but that's what I call it. When they are forming new feathers it gets everywhere.
How old are your chickens? How many, do they all have it? Is it like a period or more like a big piece of ground pepper, or bigger still?
 
Since this is the cooking area, I assume that you mean white spots on your frozen chicken, and that would be freezer burn. Prevent by wrapping so air can't come in contact with the meat.
