Hi, I've got a hen that popped up with white spots yesterday on her comb. Nothing anywhere else and nobody else in the flock has anything like it. She's eating and drinking just fine. What is it and how do I treat it?

It appears to be a very mild case of favus, a fungal infection. It can be treated by applying a little clotrimazole or miconazole cream. Dollar Tree sells small tubes of clotrimazole for a dollar.

It's hard to tell texture, height off the comb and if it is IN the comb or just on the surface. Does washing with a little Soap and Water do anything. Any more detail you can give would be helpful...JJ
I tried to wipe it off and it wouldn't come off. It looks kind of like cotton.
