White stain on pressure treated wood?

I am really glad that I have painted almost everything inside where I was comfortable and bug free. It made it a lot less annoying. I could also get a paint coat done in 20 minutes between kid pestering :)

There are two kinds of pressure treated. One is treated with Borate and is not ground contact it has no color so they add a blue die to it. This die will wash out if it gets wet a few times. Post and other ground contact wood are made with a different kind of treatment. It is a copper treatment. This takes much longer for the green color to go away. Letting it dry for a few days and putting Kills on it should help.
The advice of putting a oil on it can be good but if your in the south it IS not. The humidity can make oils mold and the sun will burn it right off.
There are a lot of good latex paints /stains out there these days.
Be careful of listening to your home depot person. some know what there talking about but most have no clue and are just trying to sell there products.
