One of my Buff Orpingtons has some white stuff on the backs of its earlobes. It almost looks fuzzy. What could it be?

Should I wash her earlobes?

Her earlobes look like perfectly normal chicken earlobes to me. Some hens have white earlobes and some don't. Unless I'm not looking at the right spot, I'd say she is fine (and that can't be washed off).

Does it feel different from the rest of the lobe? It's hard to tell if it's just different pigmentation or something on the flesh itself.

My chickens have the same thing. I think it is Favus a fungus and I've been using an anti-fungal cream. Or Miconazole nystatin cream. I could be wrong but that is what I think it is.

I will have to try to catch her and feel it, she won't let me touch her.
Thanks for the input

she looks pretty normal, she is from a hatchery right?

that would explain the white pigmentation on the ear
