White Tips on Combs

I live in central Ohio, therefore, my 3 chickens have just come out of some fairly harsh temperatures. I have noticed that each of them have some whitish tips of their combs. Is that at all linked to being exposed to low temperatures? Or, is that indicative of anything else? Anyone else ever seen such characteristic?
