White vinegar ok to use instead of acv?

ACV is not required or necessary for chickens. It won’t harm them if used (1/2 ounce or a tablespoonful per gallon of water,) but all of the claims about the great things it does are pretty overrated. Just as a little vinegar in humans’ diets will slightly lower the pH in the GI tract, that is about all it does in chickens. It also can be irritating if used in young chicks or those with intestinal infections, such as cocci. When I first started with chickens, I thought ACV would help prevent everything. Now, I almost never bother with it, but make sure to provide clean water and scrub out my water containers daily.

Ok i finally got the right stuff...
Bragg organic, unrefined apple cider vinegar with the 'mother'...

Vinegar doesn't have a mother or a father. The 'stuff' found floating in a jar of vinegar is actually a colony of bacteria. People still call it a mother because a 100 or so years ago it was thought that this bacteria was responsible for turning alcohol into vinegar. All vinegars are pretty much the same except for the residual chemicals (congeners) that was originally present in the wine, cider, malt liquor, or distilled grain alcohol originally used to make vinegar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congener_(alcohol)
