n, Ron let them out today....sat in a chair and feed them scratch...they are very friendly and PRETTY. Their comb is vivid red and they are light mix of beige and tan. They stayed in the chicken yard and did go in at dusk. Waiting for them to lay. I know they must get comfortable with new surroundings first. If they are like the Blues that Dr. Bramwel got from Dr. Whiting, then they will be very good egg layers and also good at flying up over fences and into trees.
They are not like a lot of bigger breeds
I have two black and white mixed breeds from a neighbor and they lay light green eggs. They are working out fine. Looking forward to the Dr. Whiting Chickens laying. We do have large evergreens around our Chicken Yard....hope they do NOT venture out. DARN...not happy to hear that.
