Hi bought hatching eggs from 2 different people that sold me whiting true blues. I’ve noticed the feathering is totally different. I can only have one. Anyone know why they are two different colors and which one to keep ? It’s a hard decision for me

See the comb on him, that’s how all of my Whitings looked.

Whiting True Blues don't have a breed standard. They can look very different but all be WTB.

If you can only have one, I'd personally choose on based on personality and cohesion with the rest of your flock.

We've had WTB a few times. I don't know if the "real" ones (by the person who named them) are very different from the ones a hatchery sells.
But it seemed like the ones we had, and have, aren't very specific and may change with different generations (*we had the hatchery ones)

*edit
Noticed one of your roosters has feathered legs. None of ours have (but I don't know what hatcheries are doing with the WTB)

The 2nd rooster looks like a splash marans

WTB That was what I thought would be my “dream chicken”… but after talking to a few different breeders, the variability turned out to be a bit too variable. I did a ton of research beforehand, but I never came across any with fuzzy feet — probably because I was specifically looking for birds that could handle the ambient heat better.

But I did have a marans mix- sweetest thing int he world. RIP due to predator.
