Whiting True Blues

The dust-bathing picture was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T7 with a 75-300mm lens if you are wondering what type of camera was used. I was using a 75-300mm lens on that picture (and a few others of that dust bath) because it allowed me to get good, clear pictures from a distance. I learned the hard way that if I'm too close when the dust is flying, it can ruin the function of the lens.
You’re definitely a skilled photographer.

And here are 20 more lol

Those are from Murray McMurray. There is allegedly a surprise chick in there but I have no idea which one it is
My surprise chick was a Salmon Faverolles cockerel. Pretty obvious compared with the rest of my order. I considered keeping him, but don't really have enough space, and he wouldn't quit biting me. So he now has a new home.

I got 5 females and 1 male, supposedly. I think I have two males though - waiting to see. At least half had chipmunk cheeks as chicks. I still haven't figured out if that breed is supposed to have them or Murray McMurray added that in later, since there's no SOP for the Whiting True Blues. Anyone know of detailed info on the original Whiting True Blue breed?

As far as the muffs, the breeder I got mine from was breeding for the muffs and if I breed mine, I'll be breeding for the muffs too. Other than that, I don't know if the muffs are the preferred look on them or not. It could be a personal preference. (Because of having muffless EEs and an EE hybrid that I was breeding that was muffless, I prefer the muff.)

For information on the overall breed, here's an article on them: https://www.thehappychickencoop.com/whiting-true-blue-chicken/
