I purchased True Green pullets from Murray Hatchery that are now 16 weeks old and already laying. However, about a third of the eggs are brown and when I contacted Murray Hatchery, they told me that they breed true for green and eggs will eventually become green. I am asking anyone else with this variety about their egg color results.

I am almost positive that the eggs will not turn green...I do not think it works that way.

This is the egg color they advertise on their website.
This doesn't look too green to me.
