Whiting True Greens

I haven't ordered their True Greens yet, but HAVE ordered their True Blue. The True Blue's were blue (light blue - no need to look at them a certain way to see the blue). They laid 6x's/week - large blue (60g).

Yes, I love my True Blue as well. She lays a beautiful sky blue egg. It's a small egg though. It hasn't gotten any bigger so far but it's ok with me. Here is my Luna........

So my Green started laying at 23 weeks, 1 day. Sadly I am at work and no pics here but will post one later. So far she laying 6-7 eggs a week! They are definitely green eggs, but not bright or avocado green, more of a dark khaki or muddy green.

Hello, In the picture Luna looks like having a more or less solid blue shade feathering. Is that how she looks like in regular light? Also, have your Whitings slowed down in laying in winter?

If memory serves me right, they only slowed down a bit. So, instead of 6 eggs/week, I'd get 4-5/week. I would get more, if I didn't have to buy 25 birds. I really would rather pay extra for express, so I can get less birds. Good grief!

p.s. - yeah, the Whiting Blue's egg IS on the small side, but how long has she been laying?

That is still a great rate. Specially if it is happening in MI in December.

At that time, not long. Green’s eggs currently weigh between 55-59 grams, so the heaviest I have right now. Blue is catching up, currently @55g. Wyandottes are around 48-52 and dorkings are 44-47.

I think the colors came out well due to the contrast of colors and I had decent light in the kitchen. Otherwise it is just the cell phone camera!
