Hello all, this little cutie pie is 22 days old. Our flock is a mixture of all shapes and sizes and colours of breeds but we only have 2 roosters. What I’m wondering is, do you think our Silkie is the dad or our Dorking X? A bonus would be if you could tell me the sex of this little one :)

The chick appears to have a single comb, so I'll say Dorking cross father.
I agree.

Silkie crosses also tend to have feathered feet, crest on the head, and they often have dark skin. This chick has clean feet, light skin, and I don't see a crest. So those are more reasons that the Dorking is probably the father.

Depends on what breeds of hens you have. It looks like your chick is growing a crest, so if none of the possible mothers have a crest, then the silkie would have to be the father. Though I’m not even sure that it’s a crest yet. This question is better asked when it’s older.
None of the females have crests..so I guess if she does develop one, we know it’s the Silkie
